Social Distancing – COVID-19

Surrounded by towering gum trees and lush, green rolling hills we settled into the warm, comfortable Brown Thornbill cottage at Pines Pastoral – an amazing property, expertly run by Robyn and Ingrid who not only care for a few hundred cattle on their 700 acre farm but also manage six unique cottages that have been transformed from original farm buildings. The Brown Thornbill comes with enough wood to keep your fire going forever, a spacious, well-equipped kitchen, comfortable lounge, dining area and king size bed up the spiral staircase (there’s also a sauna in the big bathroom). We really didn’t want to leave. The cottage was thoroughly cleaned and welcoming; it’s clear they care about the health and safety of their guests as they skilfully manage their cottage bookings. We’ll definitely be back for another two nights sometime soon. It means even more when you stay in a most beautiful, peaceful place with stunning sunsets, black Angus cattle and a couple of kookaburras for your nearest neighbours. A big thankyou Robyn – it was great to meet you both.
